Hello, Hi, Good afternoon, Howdy, and all other
greetings imaginable.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend.

Back to my voluntary work today after a
long break away. Wouldn't you know it - I've
woke up with bad back pains. Tough, I phoned
the hospital yesterday and told them I'm going
back so I can't phone now and say I'm not going.

Hopefully it will ease later.

its all that horse riding you was doing, a lot of it in a short space of time, now you're feeling it.

Well I got through it ok, actually, by the time
I got there the pains had eased a lot so it wasn't
so bad. I only did an hour today, but told them I'd
be back on Wednesday. Everyone was pleased to
see me back and said they'd missed me. They are
such a friendly bunch on that ward and really
appreciate any help they get from volunteers.

I went and visited a friend from my old church
afterwards as she lives right opposite the hospital
and she gave me a lift home afterwards.

I think the pains I'm getting now may be linked to being
put on that bigger horse on Friday/Sat, cos I wasn't
getting them before that.

bigger horse? hmm yes that could have an effect cos you was getting used to Lizzie & the sway she moves.

Hi peeps, hope you are all well.

Been out all day again. Been out a lot lately which
is a change from being home all the time. It's good
to be back at my old routine again though.

Haven't been horse riding since a week on Saturday,
but I've found somewhere else to go now the old place
has closed. It's an hours journey but the cost is the most
reasonable I've found so far.

at least you can carry on with it, i didnt want you to give it up, i was sad when the other place closed, but now you have an alternative,

In some ways the new place may be even better,
though until I try it out I won't know for sure.

I went to visit the place on Saturday and spoke to the
owner. The impression I got was that there is more on
offer there than just sitting on a horse being 'carried' around,
which I'm more and more convinced is all that was happening
at the old place.

I've actually just phoned and arranged a lesson for this afternoon,
so I'll be able to tell you more this evening.

*searches high and low for horse smilie*

i sort of know how you feel, as i had a similar problem, but i was hated by her kids of 19 & 21yrs old,
