3.31 protocol supporting servers

Hi Max,

I was doing some messing and wanted to check a few things. It seems that most servers do not correctly support 3.31 (not a major issue but it could be if you wanted to use Nushi or some other older clients).

WCS supports normal text correctly but doesnt support the action text length right and will close connection on clients sending large packets.

ZCS doesnt support any part of 3.31, the message on entry says to get a different client if you want to enter.

new RSWCS i'm working on still supports normal text and action text correctly.

yes i have noticed that with Nushi, the colour codes are visible, the same as if you use /bot mode, and also a few servers dont like Nushi and it would fall out alot,
i haven't tried nushi since you released RSWCS 1.9.4

i know RSWCS & WCS has issues with Ouka chat client last time i ran a test, that was same time i used Nushi, Ouka would fail on entry.

That's interesting to know. If you could give me some details and perhaps a copy of the program i will do my best to get it working as i never knew of this issue.

tested Ouka client in RSWCS and then in WCS,
same result, it wont go in, but server sees it enter & leave.

Do you have a copy of the test RSWCS as i would need the packet info to double check it and make it compatible.

nope, i deleted it like i always do,
the version i used was the 1.9.5.2 normal one.
