[Solved] Metis:- configuring the channellist

hi there, i'm wondering if anyone knows how to enable logging of the channellist in metis/robomx?

i dont off hand know if theres a script for it,
i have seen a script in action that reads the channel list when someone wants a particular room,
i was told you dealt with the making of that script, but i dont use it,
the only idea would be adding a write to txt in the script, im not sure if it could be dont as i havent seen the channel finder script.

i was never a good script maker, just the odd 1 or 2 here and there as i was learning, you know alot more than anyone here.

its not the script i'm after, theres a setting in robomx somewhere that logs the channellist. i believe its the 'cache roomlist' one, as thats the only reason i can think of for this type of info to be stored, but it just wont write to a file for me. it does for others tho, so i assume i've just got a setting wrong

Fixed it....

just incase anyone else has this trouble, i reinstalled robomx and metis, opened a channellist, clicked view along the top and unticked cache faves only.

i looked in the settings in robo
on the channel list screen in menu "list" in that drop down menu is "cache channel list" but i never thought it rote to a txt file, i dodnt think it saved it anywhere only on the screen, i could be wrong, but i have only seen the normal logs when its in a room it logs the convo.

what the 'cache roomlist' or 'cache channellist' (i forget which!) does is, when you load a channellist, and you have this option checked, it saves the list to a file called 'roomlist.ccf' which is located in the metis folder (same place as the robomx.exe) when you close the channellist window.

open channellist--->channellist loads--->set setting to cache roomlist--->close channellist window--->RoboMX caches (writes) the roomlist to file 'roomlist.ccf' and closes the window--->open new channellist --->RoboMX reads 'roomlist.ccf', loads this into the channellist window as refrence, then loads a new roomlist, overwriting each entry as it finds it again, and turns the entry bold in the channellist window.

Note: RoboMX only updates the 'roomlist.ccf' file when you close the channellist window AND you have the 'cache roomlist' option checked.

checking the 'cache faves only' section will do exactly that, resulting in a much shorter roomlist.
