Max, you remember the mod on "the Other host" where you could choose the ext.files that could be accepted on the site, do they have something like that here. I asked support Sleep ,
but after two days, it seems that nobody knows... What a Face

i never messed with the extra files, did you mean like the portal when making it in html you edit in .txt
but i think the uplaod file something like .js i think you have to host it offsite somewhere like freewebs and link it, but i dont mess with it, that is for styles i think.

Not in the portal, on FF in the ACP, you could assign what ext. files that could be open on the forum.
For example you could open a Word document and if I remember correctly, the ext. file was doc.
I could open maps that had gbd. or skl. as a ext. file name. Then you could also choose what pic format, JPEG, GIF,JPG ...
The mod exist for phpBB, I just have to find it and see if it can be installed on forumotion.

"ext" stands for extension.

Hi,

Sorry but you can't add any hacks or anything ofthe sort directly on the site/forum since you don't have access to the database

However, nothing blocks you from making your own site and linking it to your forum What does he mean by that?

I was told you may be able to help me,or direct me in the right direction.
I have started a forum about Mountain Biking, itactually serves as the association's office and for members to find info...
I was wondering if on forumotion you can add a hack that allows certain file.extensions.
ie .doc .pdf .skl .gbd
as we use GPS mappig programms it would be nice and funtional, if that could be implemented in the ACP.
